You may have noticed that we spend a lot of time talking about and promoting our biophilic Healing Art wall murals. We do this because there is close to 50 years of research that offers overwhelming evidence that installing nature-themed wall murals in a healthcare or senior care facility will dramatically improve the lives of the people who live and work in these facilities.

An Italian theme featuring images of famous Italian landmarks and landscapes. This theme was chosen to appeal to the resident population, the majority of whom were born in Italy or were of Italian descent.

A Chinese theme featuring images of famous Chinese landmarks and landscapes. This theme was chosen to appeal to the resident population, the majority of whom were born in China or were of Chinese descent.
A Touch of Home
This initiative, undertaken by the administrators of both the Italian and Chinese facilities, was a tremendous success and hugely popular with the residents. The familiar landmarks and landscapes triggered wonderful memories and went a long way towards making the residents “feel at home”.

This mural captures the cozy elegance of a European village, where cobblestone paths meet gentle waterways and café tables invite relaxation. A comforting scene that evokes calm, nostalgia, and the joy of simple moments.
Before & After: A Space Reimagined
We get many requests to create a “neighbouhood scene” in a long term care residence.
On this particular project, the client requested that an area of the residence be transformed into a typical “neighborhood” scene.
We incorporated images of a post office, a restaurant and a grocery store into a small section of the residence. The client loved in and it seemed to attract a lot of attention from the residents…
